Sue Pike Equine Specialist

Sue Pike

Sue Pike is an experienced equine specialist. She has a love of the outdoors, nature and animals. Sue’s love for horses developed at an early age and has continued throughout her life starting with pony care, riding lessons and just hanging out with horses. Sue trained in supporting primary education and physical education for those with special education needs and again horses were in her life working with Riding for the Disabled.  Sue moved to the Cumbria in 1989 living on a farm where she kept her ponies and offered horse livery to others.

Sue became a respite/foster carer for young people with additional needs and began to notice the positive impact horses were having on those children.  This inspired Sue to look deeper into the therapeutic involvement of horses.  She began her training with EAGALA in 2009 and became certified as an Eagala professional. Sue has worked in this field since then and has facilitated numerous sessions working with groups, families, the elderly and individuals.  She has seen positive results through horses that enabled people to move forward with their lives.

Sue now lives and works in Scotland.
